Counseling for Body Image Concerns and Eating Disorders

Body Image Concerns & Eating Disorders

Eating disorders (ED), disordered eating and body image issues are difficult to tackle alone; it is bigger than just the food you are eating or not eating. It can feel lonely, shameful, isolating and negatively impact one’s self-esteem. It is important when you are ready to get healthy that you find the right helpers to assist you through the recovery process.

Anorexia and Bulimia used to be the only ways we could describe unhealthy relationships with food and our bodies. Today there is a spectrum of disorders that almost everyone can relate to on some level. Binge eating, negative self-talk, internal and external bullying around food and weight, family values and abuse around body image, body dysmorphia, addiction to dieting, over exercising and the list goes on.

“I am strong. I am beautiful. I am enough.”
