Nikki graduated from University of Augsburg with her Masters of Social Work and holds an LICSW through the State of Minnesota. She works with individuals, couples and adolescent girls (15+). Nikki brings in a strong relational aspect to all of her work with clients, focusing on strengths and client specific goals. She utilizes methods of mindfulness, attachment theory and elements of dialectical behavioral therapy in order to foster connection and trust. In her work with clients, she incorporates a holistic approach, which includes examining the physical, spiritual and mental well being of the client and allowing all components to be addressed and validated as the change work occurs.
In addition to working with issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues and life changes, she has extensive experience in treating chemical abuse, trauma and eating disorders. Nikki identifies as a sex-positive therapist and welcomes clients who want a safe person to work with around sexual identity, transitions, relational issues as they relate to sex, and is an ally to the LQBTQIA community.
Nikki’s relational, supportive and collaborative approach allows her clients to lean into their process and truth in order to find sustainable and exciting change in their lives. Anyone can create the life they want and it happens when you feel safe, accepted, and free to be your true self.
